What this is
LyricCheck checks whether a song's lyrics read as written by a person or generated by an AI model. Search for an artist or a song, pick a track, and we run its lyrics through Pangram, an AI-text detector.
How a check works
When you check a song, our server fetches its lyrics from public lyrics databases, sends them to Pangram, and stores the verdict. We save which Pangram model produced each verdict, so you can see exactly what was used. Once a song has been checked, everyone sees the saved result instantly.
We don't republish lyrics. To read a song's lyrics, follow the link to Genius.
How to read the result
Pangram splits text into segments and labels each one human-written, AI-assisted, or AI-generated. The bar shows what share of the lyrics fell into each group. Song lyrics are short and repetitive, which makes any detector less certain than it is on long prose, so treat a verdict as a strong signal, not proof.
